Watkins Solicitors Supports White Ribbon Event in Hereford

  • Posted

On Tuesday 26th November, Watkins Solicitors proudly participated in the White Ribbon event in Hereford, held as part of the global 16 Days of Action Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. The event, hosted by West Mercia Women’s Aid (WMWA), brought together various organisations and community groups to raise awareness and stand united against violence.

The White Ribbon campaign aims to end male violence against women and girls and encourages everyone, particularly men and boys, to pledge their commitment to creating a safer future. This year's Hereford event featured a range of local organisations, including WMWA, West Mercia Police, Dementia Matters, Talk Community Hereford, WRASAC (West Mercia Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre), the Samaritans, and food banks.

Representing Watkins Solicitors, Andy Kerese and Catherine Haworth, Head of the Domestic Abuse Unit, joined this meaningful initiative. The team also ran a free legal advice clinic at the event, offering support to individuals seeking guidance on domestic abuse issues and related legal matters.

One of the highlights of the day was a powerful performance by the WMWA choir, made up of volunteers and survivors of abuse.

At Watkins Solicitors, we are dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic abuse by providing compassionate and expert legal assistance. Whether it’s applying for non-molestation orders, occupation orders, or other forms of protection, our experienced Domestic Abuse Team is here to guide clients every step of the way.

If you or someone you know needs help, please don’t hesitate to contact our team for advice.
