Watkins Solicitors Welcomes Gregg Burrough as Judicial Review and Education Solicitor

We are pleased to welcome Gregg Burrough to Watkins Solicitors as a Judicial Review and Education Solicitor. With over 12 years of experience in Legal Aid work, Gregg brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and other educational challenges.

Throughout his career, Gregg has been dedicated to social welfare law, focusing on helping children and adults secure the educational provisions they need.

A key part of Gregg’s work involves holding Local Authorities accountable when they fail to meet their obligations, especially in cases where clients require Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to support their development and well-being.

In addition to his legal work, Gregg founded an education law clinic at Queen Mary University of London, where he supervises law students providing pro bono advice to families with disabled children—a role for which he was awarded a Fellowship in 2023.

Gregg’s passion for legal aid and commitment to vulnerable clients align perfectly with Watkins Solicitors' mission. Speaking about his move to Watkins Solicitors, Gregg said:

“What attracted me to Watkins Solicitors was their commitment to giving a voice to vulnerable clients. Watkins’ longstanding dedication to landmark judicial review cases and their reputation in social justice work is something I’m proud to join.”

Beverley Watkins, Managing Partner, commented on Gregg's arrival:

“We’re very pleased to welcome Gregg to Watkins Solicitors. Gregg brings both skill and empathy to his work, and that’s exactly what we value here at Watkins. His experience with education and judicial review cases will be an asset to the firm and our clients. We’re pleased to have someone with his dedication and practical approach on our team.”

At Watkins Solicitors, Gregg will continue his focus on education and judicial review, supporting individuals and families in challenging situations and advocating for fair treatment. We are delighted to have Gregg as part of our team and look forward to the positive impact he will bring to our clients and community.
